QAJAR IRAN, DATED RABI' II AH 1332/MARCH-APRIL 1914 AD
Poetry, Persian manuscript on paper, 161ff. plus four fly-leaves, each folio with 12ll. of fine black nasta'liq script arranged in one or two columns, titles in blue or red between gold illuminated cartouches with floral decoration, text within blue and black-ruled gold frame, catchwords, opening bifolio with finely illuminated gold and polychrome headpiece and margins, colophon dated and with possibly later added name of Mirza Muhammad Taqikhani Mu'ayyid al-Mulk, in original gilt lacquer binding decorated with motifs of rose and nightingale (gul-o bulbul), the doublures with irises, in very good condition
