SIGNED MUHAMMAD IBRAHIM, QAJAR IRAN, DATED AH 1293/1876-77 AD
The mirror case with cusped borders, fixed to and pivoting on a semi-circle support on staight stand with palmette finial, on rounded base, the case with fine cut-out decoration giving the name of Nasir al-Din Shah in elegant nasta'liq script, signed and dated, the case opening to reveal two shutters and a mirror, with gold floral arabesques in places, the reverse with additional mirror concealed under a hinged top
