Poetry, Persian manuscript on thin paper, 198ff. plus two fly-leaves, each folio with 11ll. of thin black nasta'liq script on gold ground arranged in two columns, with illuminated intercolumnar divisions, titles in polychrome and gold illuminated cartouches, text within gold frame, margins with text of Sa'di's Gulistan written diagonally in black nasta'liq script with some words picked out in red, with triangular illuminated panels in places, opening folio with gold and polychrome illuminated headpiece, two opening bifolia with illuminated floral margins, folios paginated until f.54, in fine lacquer binding with floral decoration
