Opaque and transparent pigments heightened with gold on paper, the illustration set in the margins of the text panel, depicting Iskandar riding a horse and seeing a vision of his own death in the form of an emaciated man lying in bed under a canopy, the scene set in a rocky landscape, below Iskandar reaches the City of Women named Harum, he is seen below discussing with an enthroned princess, seated under a domed pavilion and attended by female companions, the main text panel with 23ll. of elegant black nasta'liq script arranged in two columns, one title cartouche in red, further smaller text written diagonally around, the reverse with similar text panel, mounted
