Opaque pigments heightened with gold on paper, the young prince in profile holding a sceptre, a pearl necklace with jewelled pendant around his neck, the identification inscription in gold nasta'liq above, the portrait laid down between gold floral borders on heavily gold illuminated salmon cardboard margins decorated with a lattice of rosettes, the reverse with remains of old inscriptions in devanagari script, minor flaking, otherwise in good condition
