THE FIRST 1777, PALE PUCE CROWNED INTERLACED L'S MARKS ENCLOSING DATE LETTER Z ABOVE A MARK TO SAUCER, INDISTINCT MARKS TO CUP, THE SECOND PROBABLY PARIS, UNDERGLAZE BLUE ARROW MARK, THE THIRD WITH SPURIOUS BLUE INTERLACED L'S MARKS ENCLOSING T AND F, VARIOUS INCISED LETTERS
The Sèvres coffee-can and saucer painted with loose bouquets of flowers, foliage and ferns outlined in gilding in simulated cloisonné style, rubbed, small footrim chip; the second with geometric yellow-ground panels and oval panels enclosing pink roses, the centre with a bouquet of pink roses and other flowers, slight wear; the plates each painted with a central loose bouquet of fruit and flowers, the well with a gilt leafy garland suspended from three shell-shaped gilt cartouches painted with exotic birds amongst branches, within gilt dentil rims, both with small rim chip, slight wear to gilding
