SIGNED 'ABD AL-RASHID AL-DAYLAMI, CUT BY HAJJI 'ABDULLAH, KASHMIR, DATED AH 1059/1649-50 AD
Gouache heightened with gold on paper, with lines of elegant blue and ochre outlined découpé nast'aliq in two directions, laid down on blue paper highlighted with gold floral scrolls, mounted on card with minor gold and polychrome margins, small areas of loss to the letters
Folio 8¾ x 13¾in. (22.2 x 34.9cm.)
Engraved
The calligraphy reads, Nasr min Allah wa fath qarib, 'Help is from Allah and present victory'.
