Lot Essay

The miniatures in this lot have all been labeled and identified by the previous owner. The portraits of Sikh interest include:

Sham Singh Attariwalla (d.1846), Raja Tej Singh (1799-1862), Amir Dost Muhammad Khan (1793-1863), Maharaja Sher Singh (1807-1843), Suchet Singh, Maharaja Ranbir Singh(1830-1885), Tatya Tope (1814-1859), Sirdar Sher Singh, Sher Singh Attariwalla, Golden Temple at Amritsar, Dulip Singh (1837-1893), Maharani Jindan Kaur (1817-1863), Raja Dhian Singh (1796-1843), Akbar Khan (1816-1845), Dewan Mulraj, Maharaja Ranjit Singh (1780-1839), Dulip Singh as a boy (1837-1893), Maharaja Gulab Singh (1792-1857).
