A bifolio and a folio, each folio with 19ll. of elegant black naskh script arranged in two columns between black-ruled gold divisions, titles in gold thuluth script, text within blue, black and gold rules, the large illustrations depicting a prisonner bastinadoed before an amazed crowd, and a lover lying on the ground before a princess watching him from a balcony, the scene set in a garden with trees and birds
