Lot Essay

As visible in the catalogue photograph, there is an area of restoration between 1 and 3 o'clock which is quite crudely done. There are a few chips in the glaze which is otherwise in good condition. There are old suspension wires that are plastered to the foot of the dish on the reverse. The dish should benefit from professional restoration.
