Lot Essay

The shape of this ewer, with its conical body and long serpentine spout, is found on Kütahya pieces from the second half of the 18th century, as illustrated in Sebnem Akalin, Hüliya Bilgi, Delights of Kütahya, Istanbul, 1997, cat.89, pp. 62-63. However, it is probably that our ewer dates to the 19th century.
