Nicholas Bion, early 18th century
signed on the square plate N Bion AParis, degree scale 90°-0°-90° divided by 1°, top edge inscribed coste applique AU MUR, the rotating horizontal dial with four hour scales for 40°,45°,50° and 55° of latitude, marked in roman and arabic numerals for 4-12-8, shaped and graduated bird gnomon, with glazed eight-point compass rose.
