The trefoil carved three-quarter gallery above four graduated open shelves, flanked by S- and C-scroll corbels and turned column uprights, on bun feet, and with panelled backboards, stamped several times 'CURRIE & CO'

Lot Essay

Currie and Co. were amongst about 250 retail proprietors listed in Calcutta in 1830, supplying the local elite.
