For further information on this lot please visit ww.christies.com. The first visit of a reigning monarch to Canada, the 1939 Royal Tour was a resounding success attracting huge crowds. The Royal couple visited every Canadian province, as well as the Dominion of Newfoundland and the United States. Frank Watson Wood accompanied King George VI and Queen Elizabeth as their official artist.
