FIRST EDITION with Blake's illustrations. "A new edition of Stanley's translation Leonora, A Tale was published in 1796, to which Blake contributed a frontispiece and two vignettes. The vignettes depict a procession of Prussian soldiers with Leonora and her mother searching for William, and William running into the arms of Leonora, who is waking from her dream. The frontispiece depicts Leonora and her bridegroom soaring through the air with imps and devils dancing above and below. Keynes 79.
