painted with wild birds perching among flowering branches and grasses within gilt-ground borders enriched in turquoise with a continuous garland of laurel leaves and raised gilding and beading, and including examples painted with a golden oriole, a blue-tit, a wren, a robin, a goldfinch, a bullfinch, a swallow and other birds, pattern number 8893, late 19th century ( one plate damaged and repaired, others with wear)
