A Continental majolica urn and a plinth
probably German, the the shallow urn with twin scroll handles formed as wood nymphs, the waisted bowl with a leaf-moulded turnover rim above a gadrooned lower section, the stem with similar ornament; and a plinth formed as three masks between scrolls pendant with fruit above three winged putti terminating in paws on entwined serpents and bearded masks, the base modelled as stylised bats above shells and stylised dolphin feet -- 64in. (162.6cm.) high overall, late 19th century
