Lot Essay

Xu Beihong first met Guo Moruo in Shanghai at the end of 1926. They developed a very close friendship over the years and lived close to each other in Chongqing during the Sino-Japanese war, when Xu Beihong was teaching in the Panxi area. Mr. Townsend was also in Chongqing during the same time.
