A STONE MODEL OF A LION
TANG DYNASTY (618-907)
The seated lion is naturalistically modelled with its head turned to one side. Its ferocious expression is detailed with bulging eyes and an open mouth. The stone is of a brownish-grey tone.
8 5/8 in. (21.9 cm.) high
