A PAINTED AND GILT ZITAN FIGURE OF AN ELEVEN-HEADED AVALOKITESVARA
18TH CENTURY
The bodhisattva is intricately carved with eight arms and stands on a lotus base. She is dressed in elaborate flowing robes and scarf, and wears beaded jewellery. There is a serene expressions on each of the faces.
