A PAIR OF CARVED IVORY WRIST RESTS
19TH CENTURY
Each wrist rest is of long rectangular form, carved as a section of bamboo with four small bracket supports. The convex sides are decorated with scenes depicting a boat docking ashore. One wrist rest is finely carved to the underside in high relief with the Eight Immortals and attendants, and the other with figures including Budai, various luohan, monks and scholars.
