A LARGE WHITE JADE-MOUNTED SILVER WIRE-INSET HARDWOOD RUYI SCEPTRE

The jade plaques are carved in relief with various scenes: the largest plaque with a scholar and his young attendant traversing a mountain path, the central plaque with two finger citrons, and the bottom plaque with a bat suspending a tassled wan emblem above two peaches. They are set into the hardwood shaft which is inlaid in silver wire with peach sprays and a double gourd containing cattails.
