A RARE YELLOWISH-GREEN JADE ARCHAISTIC CUP
QIANLONG INCISED FOUR-CHARACTER SEAL MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
The cup is finely carved around the shoulder with an archaistic band of stylised dragons confronted around whirl bosses between simplified leafy scrolls and plain borders and interrupted by the loop handle which is carved on top with a stylised ruyi head. The cup is raised on a spreading pedestal foot encircled by a single rope-twist band. The stone is of yellowish-green colour with satin polish.
