A SPINACH-GREEN JADE 'DRAGON-CARP' VASE
19TH CENTURY
The vase is carved in the form of a winged dragon-carp leaping from crashing waves amidst clouds and rockwork, with a young carp to its side in pursuit of the flaming pearl. The stone is of a dark green tone with paler inclusions and some black speckling.
