A MOTHER-OF-PEARL-INLAID GOLD LACQUER 'PEACH' CUP
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
The deep cup is modelled in the shape of a peach with the handle formed as a stem, issuing long leaves to the base. The exterior is inlaid with five bats flying amidst clouds against a gold ground, all beneath an inlaid geometric floral band. The interior is lined with metal.
