A CARVED COCONUT SHELL BRUSH POT, BITONG
18TH CENTURY
Of cylindrical form with flaring foot and mouth rims, the mid-section of the vessel is carved in relief to one side with a temple flanked by two dragons, and the other side with a deer and crane amongst 'The Three Friends of Winter', between further bands of various animals and precious objects, all below a narrow keyfret band.
