A Meissen figure group of two goatherds
the central female figure seated on a rock, hands clasped with a garland of flowers in her lap, her male companion lying on his front in the grass playing a flute, a kid standing on his back and it's mother lying down to the other side of the group, the goatherds wearing rustic Central European dress and enriched in colours -- 6 5/8ins. (17cms.) high, 20th century (half of one goat's horn missing, feather broken and glued in goatherds hat, other chips)
