A Meissen oviform vase
painted in the 'Limoges enamels' style in white on a blue-ground with Cupids in gardens, one testing his arrows for sharpness, the other stealing blossoms from a little girl, beneath a rim enriched in flat and raised gilding and blue enamel with scrolling strapwork, blue crossed swords mark and Pressnummern 19 -- 6½in. (16.5cm.) high, 19th century (very slight wear)
