A Meissen 'Schneeballen' vase
with a flared rim a swollen lower section applied allover with mayflowers, entwined with branches, leaves and tightly packed flowerheads, among the branches are perched a hoopoe and anpther exotic birs, on a circular base applied with a nesting finch, painted in colours, blue crossed swords mark, Pressnummer 61, impressed 2767 -- 19in. (48.3cm.) high, late 19th century (exotic bird's wings broken and restored, chips to crest of hoopoe, finch's tail restored, firing faults, some other damages and chips)
