Edo period (late 17th century)
Decorated in the vibrant Kakiemon palette of iron-red, green, yellow, blue and black, one hand holding a folded fan onto his obi and the other hand in his sleeve, the kimono decorated with folded fans and stylised kanji, the coiffure enamelled in black
