Lot Essay

Maître ébéniste in 1774. His work reflects is more restrained than most opting for simple, clean lines rather than the elaborate floral and garlanded marquetry decoration of other ébénistes. He supplied Marie Antoinette with furniture to redecorate the Chateau de Saint Cloud.
