Bound in metal, with metal handles and the monogram 'APC' and the number '2' to either end, fittings for a leather strap, mounted on casters, with key, the interior lined in red and white cotton ticking, with two removable trays each with four cream canvas cross straps, the padded lid studded with purple ribbon taping
27¼ x 47½ x 25½in. (70 x 121 x 65cm.)
The lock inscribed 'BTE S.C.D.G PATENT, LOUIS VUITTON, 1 RUE SCRIBE PARIS, LONDON 149 NEW BOND STREET, MADE IN FRANCE' and numbered '07504', the interior labelled 'LOUIS VUITTON, AND AT 289 OXFORD STREET REGENT CIRCUS LONDON, EMBALLEUR BRÉVETÉ S.G.D.G. Lot Essay

The initials on the side of the trunk relate to the original owners marriage to Baron Rolf Cederstrom in 1899. The trunk is also accompanied by a letter from Louis Vuitton.
