A PALE CELADON JADE PLAQUE AND A WHITE AND RUSSET JADE CARVING
18TH/ 19TH CENTURY
The square plaque is carved and pierced with a central roundel enclosing a pair of ducks with characters to the reverse. It is surrounded by carved and pierced flower scrolls. The stone is pale celadon in tone. The carving is shaped as a branch of fruit-bearing melon with two chilong clambering atop. The stone is white and russet in tone.
The plaque: 2 x 2 in. (5.2 x5.2 cm.). The carving: 2.5/8 in. (6.7 cm.) long
