A PALE CELADON JADE 'BUDDHIST LION' GROUP
18TH CENTURY
The recumbant animal is carved looking over its back, the tail flicked over its haunches and paws tucked underneath. Its bushy tail, backbone, mane and eyebrows are finely detailed. The cub is holding a ribbon and is carved looking up at the larger beast. The stone is of a pale celadon tone.
4.1/16 in. (10.3 cm.) wide, on carved wood stand
