A CARVED CELADON-GLAZED 'DRAGON' MOONFLASK
19TH CENTURY
The circular body is crisply carved to each side with a full-frontal dragon writhing about a flaming pearl amongst clouds and bats and above waves. The shoulders are applied with a loop handle to either side of the neck that is embellished with a band of lappets. The glazed recessed base has an apocryphal Qianlong six-character underglaze blue seal mark.
