A BLUE AND WHITE CHARGER
YONGZHENG PERIOD (1723-35)
The charger is painted to the central roundel with pavilions and a pagoda in a pine-strewn river-landscape, a pair of ducks and a small boat float on the river. The scene is encircled by a band of flower-heads reserved with floral panels at the well. The rim is painted with four flower sprays below a diaper-pattern and a café-au-lait band.
23½ in. (59.8 cm.) diam.
Provenance
A Private European Collection acquired in England and France in the 1960s-1990s.
