A GILT-LACQUER BRONZE FIGURE OF BUDDHA
16TH/ 17TH CENTURY
He is modelled seated in vajrasana with his hands in dhyanamudra. He has a meditative expression, tightly curled hair
and wears flowing robes open at his chest that is incised with the swastika symbol. His face, chest and hands are covered with traces of gilt.

A Private European Collection acquired in England and France in the 1960s-1990s.
Acquired in France in 1977.
