A SILVER-MOUNTED JADE MIRROR AND A SILVER BOX WITH A JADE BELT-BUCKLE INSET
THE JADE 18TH/19TH CENTURY
The silver oval hand-mirror is decorated in relief with Buddhist emblems and inlaid to the back with a pale celadon jade plaque depicting two meditating monks. The handle is formed of a pale celadon jade belt-hook. The silver rectangular box and cover is incised with birds, flower-scrolls and bamboo. The cover is mounted with a pale celadon jade belt-buckle. The interior is gilt and the interior cover is fitted with a mirror.
