An early 19th century gem-set serpent necklace
The foliate engraved head set with a graduated emerald, old brilliant and rose-cut diamond crest, emerald snout and cabochon ruby eyes, suspending a matching emerald and diamond heart-shaped locket drop, to a graduated articulated link necklace, circa 1840, 42.0cm long
