Contemporary black marbled boards, flat spines ruled in gilt with red lettering-pieces, red edges (extremities rubbed, small part of endpaper in vol.I excised and repaired). Provenance: from the library Fr. Gundolf (partly scored inscription) -- Julie Lobstein (inscription, dated September 1866).
