Woodcut diagrams at beginning, head-pieces. (Title a little creased and soiled, light mainly marginal browning.) Contemporary calf, spine gilt in compartments (lacks front endpaper, joints starting to split at head of spine, hinges cracked but firmly holding, lettering-piece chipped). Provenance: Algernon Capell, Earl of Essex, Viscount Maddon & Baron Capell of Hadham, 1701 (bookplate on verso of title).
