A COLLECTION OF CHOIRBOOK LEAVES, in Latin, DECORATED MANUSCRIPTS ON VELLUM [15th Century]. 9 leaves, ranging in size from 503 x 373mm to 537 x 375mm, four to eight lines of text, all in formal gothic hands and with music of square notation on four line staves.

One with an initial 'S', 534 x 373mm, opening the introit for the feast of Sts Primus and Felicianus ('Sapientiam sanctorum narrant populi'); from the same manuscript an initial 'I' in blue with red penwork flourishing and large green roundels, opening the Vigil for All Saints ('Iudicant sancti gentes'); a leaf with an initial 'A' ('Absterget Deus omnem lacrimam'), 530 x 367mm, part of the service for All Saints; a further 6 similar leaves (some darkening to the leaves and losses to the edges, not affecting the text).
