FIRST EDITION IN PORTUGUESE. Although Suñé states that the price of 'quatrocentos reis' was printed on the title verso, this is not the case with this copy. The edition certainly shows signs of being hastily produced. The portrait was a bad copy of that by Joseph del Castillo in the 1780 edition by the Academia Española; the anonymous translator included no preface and omitted the preliminary verses, dedications and prologues to the two parts. Palau 53285; Suñé 910.
