AN ATTRACTIVE EDITION OF PLATINA'S GREAT WORK, a history of all the popes from St. Peter to Sixtus IV. BMC states: 'This book, which shows no internal connexion with Treviso, may conceivably be Venetian and date from 1485/6. The watermark of a crescent was in use in both Treviso and Venice about this time'. HC *13048; IGI 7859; BMC VI, 897; Goff P-770,
