FINE BIRD'S-EYE VIEWS AND PLANS OF ROMAN GARDENS designed by Carlo Maderno, Ottavio Mascarini, Annibale Lippi and others. Possibly an early issue of Falda's work published between 1683 and 1691. The RIBA and the Berlin copies have 21 plates; the present copy has 20 numbered plates, but is evidently complete and with plate 2 an engraved plan instead of a dedication. Cf. Olschki Choix 16895; Berlin Kat. 3492; RIBA 1017. Sold as a collection of plates not subject to return.
