Romanée-Saint-Vivant Grand Cru--Vintage 1990
Domaine de la Romanée-Conti
Slightly worn capsules. Slightly marked labels. Levels 1.5cms below base of corks
Tasting note: Six notes. By far the biggest yield between 1989 and 2000, and the easiest to drink of the younger DRC vintages. Perfect Pinot, rich, harmonious. Two notes in July 2003: good colour but by now looking mature; an evocative varietal aroma; medium-sweet, good, rich flavour, soft yet very tannic. Most recently: still an impressive colour; very Pinot, still youthful; full of fruit, very tannic noted again. Last tasted July 2004 **(**) Hard to predict, probably 2010 - 2020. M.B.
