Lot Essay

Edouard Bisson (French, b.1856) was a student of Gérome and is best known for his works from around 1900 which reflect the beauty of women from La Belle Epoque. He won many awards including the Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur and a bronze medal at the Paris Exposition Universelle in 1900.
