CIRCA 1560-80, WORKSHOP OF DOMENEGO DA VENEZIA
Each painted in ochre, yellow, blue, green and manganese with two portraits within oval medallions, one with a gentleman on one side and a peasant on the other, the other with a woman wearing a hat and pearl earring on one side and a soldier on the other, reserved against a blue ground painted with stylised flowerheads, leaves, acanthus scrolls and highlighted with white Sgraffito scrollwork
