A ROMAN BRONZE TREFOIL OINOCHOE
CIRCA 1ST CENTURY B.C.-1ST CENTURY A.D.
The ovoid body on a flat separately-made base, with two lathe-turned rings above the rounded shoulders at the base of the neck, the separately-cast arching handle with an incised pattern along its length, terminating below in a female mask between fanning palmettes, with straight locks framing her face, a diadem above the thick bangs, the upper-end of the handle with a frontal-facing female protome, her arms extending along the trefoil mouth, terminating in rotellae; together with an Etruscan bronze olpe, circa 5th century B.C.
