The jar decorated with a continuous scene of a gentleman riding a qilin accompanied by boys holding a banner, parasols and flower vases, all on a terrace with plantain leaves; the dish decorated overall with peony blooms on a scale-pattern ground, the rim enamelled with a café-au-lait glaze
